Number of students and fees

There will be only 80 people participating in ISSO 2027. The fees will be around 500 euros and the exact rate is to be confirmed in March 2027.

A successful applicant is expected to deposit the fee within 1 month from the time of notification in order to secure the position. Failure to do so will lead to dismissal of the acceptance and the position will be freed for other candidates.   

There is not absolute deadline and applications will be received until the 80 places are filled. Applications will be reviewed frequently and successful applicants will be notified immediately. First screening is expected in January 2027.

For your application please provide in English: 

• the CV in Europass format http://europass.cedefop.europa.eu/documents/curriculum-vitae with explicit description of your academic/professional background/experience in Optics and in Space 
• a motivation letter of no more than 1 page with size-11 letters explaining how this School will help you in your career 

Selection will be made on the basis of: 

• merit of the applicant 
• expected impact of the School in the career of the applicant
